Mission table progress and woodshop makeover!

Finally, I made some progress on my mission end table! I finished a good majority of the mortise and tenon joints tonight, as well as thought of a couple good jigs I should make to help things along. I also made a couple design changes with the drawer to add some additional space, one of which is using a thin oak plywood for the bottom (the horror!) It would give me just a little more depth to the drawer and make it a tad more functional.

On another note, my woodshop is about to get a sweet makeover because friends of ours are redoing their kitchen, so I have all kinds of cabinets, cupboards, counter tops, and an island to use. Let's just say my shop is pretty hodge-podge so it could really use some nice surfaces and storage. The island is going right behind my table saw! Boy do I need something there!
